I check each recipe before I go grocery shopping to see what I already have so that I don't buy to much and have things go to waste. Sometimes I use the walmart grocery app so I can input what groceries Im getting so I have more time to cut up meat or save time before getting the kids from school. I have Friday's off so it works better for me to plan shopping around that, but Ive considered picking up the groceries on Thursdays after work so I can use Friday to pre chop meats and to freeze meats veggies or breads. Things like fresh produce that goes bad quickly gets bought weekly. I have a seal a meal so when we are having large quantities of a certain meat or there is a sale then I buy in bulk and freeze. There are times when we switch meals around as well and don't necessarily follow this to a T, but its a nice start so that we have a place to start. Sunday's are the day that we choose to do left overs so that we cut down on wasting food.
